Growout and Production Manager

full time at Aqua Green, LLC in Perkinston, Mississippi
 
AquaGreen, LLC is seeking a production manager for our 54,000 sq. ft. indoor recirculating production facility that is currently producing 20,000 lbs of tilapia per week. Manager will be responsible for all day to day operations of the facility, procurement of feed, supplies and equipment, scheduling, and improving production efficiency. Proven commercial aquaculture production and management experience is required. AquaGreen offers a competitive package including salary, insurance, and housing for highly qualified candidates. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
• Minimum of 5 years experience in aquaculture production using recirculating aquaculture systems

• Ability to supervise staff of technicians and laborers

• Ability to provide hand-on training and support to new staff members to ensure consistency of orientation and training.

• Understanding of water chemistry analysis and filter management

• Must maintain detailed and accurate production reports and operating budgets

• Computer skills in Excel, Word, and Internet.

• Strong mechanical and construction skills

• Ability to lift 50 lbs safely

• Adjust to varying work schedule
