Rusagro plan 20b P pig farm in Chelyabinsk region

Rusagro, one of Russia's largest agribusinesses, will build a pig farm worth over 20 billion rubles in the Chelyabinsk Region in the Urals, the press office of the regional governor said on Monday.

The farm is designed to produce over 90,000 tons of pork annually and will consist of 32 stand-alone units to enhance the farm's veterinary and sanitary safety, the press office said in a statement.

The investor said it will also build a powerful combined fodder production facility with a capacity of 60 tons per hour, and a slaughter and processing facility.

The investor has undertaken to pay at least 20 percent of the project's cost with its own funds, it said.
